My sister can actually cook!?

My sister never really had the cooking bug like me. I love being able to throw things together in the kitchen and end up with something fantastic, essentially, something one of a kind. I know I won’t ever be able to re-create it just as it was the first time because I hardly ever follow a recipe. My sister on the other hand, she can follow a recipe really well sometimes if she sets her mind to cooking instead of reaching for the usual pop-tart, meal-in-a-bag, or frozen pizza if you’re lucky. She has been on this cooking kick lately so I was excited to be the “guinea pig” for once! She made a chicken stir fry and added extra carrots, onions and green beans just for me! Thanks Christal! It was amazing!

Body:
This weekend in DC was fantastic! My sister took me to her gym, which is crazy awesome! It has this huge wall of all windows overlooking highway 270 and a lake with walking trail. We warmed up for fifteen minutes on the elliptical and I daydreamed that I was outside running around in the sunshine around the frozen lake. After warming up, we used nearly every machine for strength including hamstring curls, leg extensions, leg squats, bicep curls, tricep extensions and more. After that… we headed down to the “cardio room”
I managed to run 5 miles on the treadmill and my sister was right beside me the whole time! It was super fun and a great workout. I wish I belonged to her gym, they have Jacuzzi spas, saunas, a pool, pilates classes, yoga classes, body pump, body attack ( and all those series), not to mention the tons of cardio and strength equipment! Here is that cardio room…

Mind:
I started to work on a Liver Case Study for Medical Nutrition class, thinking it was due tomorrow. Well, after getting about halfway done I realized it is not due until next week (thank goodness!)
Finished an abstract for class tomorrow on Specific Gravity.
Basically, the specific gravity is how much solutes are in a solvent. In medical nutrition therapy, we run urinalysis to see how much solutes (particles) are in a patients’ urine. This test can help us determine hydration status, diabetes, chronic diarrhea causes, etc. etc.
Starting Grade 5, Exploring Food with Professor Popcorn!
Vary your veggies, go lean with protein, get calcium!

Movies with a Martini:
All About Steve was actually quite funny I think- not what I expected at all! We also watched “My Sister’s Keeper” and “my goodness” we were both in tears. Good thing my brother –in-law came home and handed out tissues. Nice work Greg.

I have loved spending time with people that want to spend their time with me. The past three months have been filled with wonderful new friends, old friends, family and blog readers that are just the best people in the world! Love you!

Well, you’ll feel better when you have only half to do when it’s actually due!

The meal sounds great. Isn’t it amazing how different sisters can be?

Oh wow the gym sounds amazing. I’ve been gym-free for a while but the ultra-luxury ones always seem so attractive. Not that it would make me go any more often though, although I like to think so haha. I heard My sister’s keeper is a real blubber movie, I’d have to keep a bucket handy what with all the hormones I’m dealing with at the moment! I should probably stick to action movies ;-)

Nice that the sis made you a good meal! Love sister time :)
I will have to email you soon…I am on the job search right now and it’s stressing me out! Professor Popcorn? Hehe. I like him already.
