How was your Superbowl Sunday?
I am surprised at how mundane it seemed, the commericals were well-thought out and mostly funny but I guess it just seemed so “fake”… “doritos, budweiser, coke, touchdown, coke, budweiser, doritos, intel, miss a field goal, doritos, budweiser, coke, saints win” . Maybe it was just because I was sad with what happened to Bailey  ( read below for details)

Body:
Friday was filled with work, both for EFNEP and job#2 all night. Training at job#2 all day saturday, then working saturday night meant I have “rested” from workouts the past two days but my body has been moving and shakin all weekend long! Sunday I finally got in a fabulous 4 mile run! It felt great, except that my knee is know a little achy. I think it will be a strength and yoga filled week, easy on the running (and the knee).

Mind:

This weekend I caught up with research/reading for my thesis regarding Vitamin D metabolism/deficiency, caught up on EFNEP Lessons for practicum work, and trained for a new position at Bonefish. I am now certified for my promotion, which is fantastic, but with more money comes more responsibility (I like that!)

Soul:
Bailey,  my “godpuppy”, passed away this afternoon. He was such an adorable addition to my friends’ lives. It is so sad but I know he was very sick, very young and at the very least, had a nice home with loving parents for a week and is resting in peace.

It’s sad when animals pass away- especially at a young age- but when they’re that sick, it’s nice to know that they can rest peacefully.

    awww, hugs about Bailey!

How is the weather there? I guess mild enough to have a Superbowl party! I think the parties in Pittsburgh were mostly canceled due to our crazy state of emergency snow!

I’d love to see the recipes for your party foods!

ps-I’ve been eating lots of oatmeal and pumpkin seeds for iron!

oh hun, I’m so sorry to hear that. It is the hardest thing to lose an animal because they become so much a part of us and are so special. It’s nice to know that he is no longer in pain.
You sure had quite the spread at the superbowl. I didn’t really watch much of it :) Hope your having a nice week, sounds like your jobs are going really well!
