The Next Food Blog Star
I began writing my first blog in 2005. I kept posting private because I was initially too embarrassed to be a college graduate writing a diary of her life. I used to think, “What made my life so special to share it with the world?” Nothing really, at that time, was the answer. I was just like the majority of other bloggers out there, simply writing about “my life”.
In 2008, all of that “nothing special” changed.

I began school for a Master of Science Degree in Nutrition because it was the one thing I would want to read about when I came home from work at night. I embarked on my blog shortly after I started school to share what I learned.

You don’t have to be an expert in anything to create a successful blog. I decided to take a risk by going public this time because I was also training for my first marathon.
I wasn’t the expert ( yet ! ) but I knew I had to be fearless, have the ability to open up to people that I never knew existed, and hopefully share my sense of humor with those people so they would let themselves be known in my comments section.

It was not long until I found a whole world of other food bloggers through Foodbuzz and felt like I had found my place in the world. Being Healthier has chronicled my food labs…
vacations and more vacations…
(The Westin Resort and Spa July 2009 , Hilton Head SC)
(Hometown Visit September 2010, Pittsburgh PA)
(September 2010 Boston, MA)

how to balance life, food, exercise, happiness, and work…

Being Healthier is about nourishing yourself in the most appropriate ways and from many things in addition to food. I enjoy sharing all those ways with you.
I love learning and I have loved every step of my journey here at Being Healthier, even if some were sporadic, spontaneous or unsteady. That is precisely why I would be a great choice for The Next Food Blog Star, because I love to learn about food, nutrition, nourishment and people. I hope you vote for me because there is no telling what you may learn about me, yourself, or the world we live eat in.
