versatilebloggeraward

Swanky Dietitian has nominated me for the Versatile Blogger award, Thank you Swanky! Here are the rules:

  • Thank the person who nominated you and link back to them
  • Tell 7 random facts about yourself
  • Pass the award on to other versatile bloggers
  • Let the giver of the award know if you’ve accepted the award or not

Here are 7 random facts about myself….

1.  Clumsy. I spill things all the time!

2. Habitual. Though I travel often for work now, I have always checked the bed in any hotel I stay in as soon as I arrive. I pull back the covers, check the sheets for stains, and then pull back the sheets and check out the mattress. Maybe its OCD but I hate the thought of sleeping on bed bugs or someone’s dirty sheets! Ick!

3. Rebellious. I love to bake, except that I own hardly any equipment and do not follow recipes – two things which I suppose are necessary for baking.

Pig Pickin Cake #3

4. Party Animal. I have attended 23 pig pickins, having brought the pig pickin cake to three of them and assisted in cooking the pig in over 7 of them.

(Pig Pickin Cake #2)

5. Photographic Evidence. I take pictures of random things now sometimes for the sole purpose of remembering them because I might not otherwise. This is mostly recent and I think, a result of blogging!

6. Dancer. One of my favorite things to do is dance (aside from run) and I love dancing to southern rock/oldies/soul. I’d say my “favorite” band right now is MoFro, the lead singer is amazing and sexy too. I think he’s married or too old for me. Ah well. I love to dance around like a fool at shows!

(Lead Singer, JJ Grey)

7. Perseverance. I have a love/hate relationships with ceiling fans. I bought a new one, it took 8 hours to install after getting the old one out ( an 1hr long process) and realizing there was no grounding, getting half of the new one up and realizing the entire light fixture was missing from the box, going back to home depot, and back home.

After finally finishing the install and turning the power back on, the light didn’t work.  Didn’t put the light bulb in.

There you have it,  that was tougher than I thought it would be! Now to award 7 others…

  1. Wendy of Give Love Create Happiness
  2. Cristin of Eating RD
  3. Caroline of Broccoli Hut
  4. Mandi of Itzy’s Kitchen
  5. Sagan of Living Healthy in the Real World
  6. Caitlin of Feed Between the Lines
  7. Diane of Frontyard Foodie

Happy Tuesday to All! I’m finally starting to feel better, you are all so very sweet. THANK YOU so much for all the get well wishes and thoughts.

What are your plans for this week?

What a fun post :) I have always checked for bed bugs and clean sheets too! I traveled for work for almost an entire year and I was religious about it! I’ve never been to a pig pickin!!

Thanks Kelly!! Pig Pickins are fab but they do involve pickin meat from a cooked pig… so vegan friendly they are not, just fyi. also not for the too weak of stomachs because a pig is being roasted slowly for many hours. BUT… it is very sustainable and delicious roasted pork! great fun
