Hidden moments…
I didn’t have time to do some of the things I had wanted to this week for the blog. My “blogger mentality” never goes away though and I take pictures all the time of potential material. Somethings just never make it to published status here at Being Healthier so I thought I would share some of those hidden moments…
I rarely take pictures of just myself because I guess, well, I’m used to taking pictures of food that seems way more interesting. However, I’m told that I’m dynamic.

That was taken this morning, clearly by an amazing photographer. I also have coffee most mornings, sometimes two cups, usually black, sometimes with artificial sweetener, sometimes with cream and sugar.

This was my second try at fro-yo … I’m becoming a fan but not addicted yet because of the logistics! It costs $4 for a small serving (6 oz), which is a little outrageous when I could buy a huge container for that price/value. My waistline thanks me for not having bulk fro yo around the house! I have had 3-4 packages of extra firm cubed tofu around the house on a regular basis though…
(yep, that is Southern Tier Raspberry Wheat in the background…)
Last week for dinner, I ate some version of tofu and salad near every night. I’m ridiculously repetitive yet dynamic. I also can be impatient with what little time I have free right now so I go with easy, healthy and hassle free! It is ridiculously quick to throw some tofu in the skillet. The salad above has local peaches, brie and raisins. The stir-fry below used soy sauce, lime juice, peanut butter and salsa…
(this also went on top of a salad)
In the past 2 months, I have made 11 versions of Banana Bread. Nope, not repetitive at all…;-) This one took the “cake” as a brownie version. I contemplated posting and calling it “Banana Breadies”. This version had peanut butter and some recipes are available at Impatient but Healthier and on this post for Banana Bread Ice Cream Sandwiches…
I am a much happier person when I have Kombucha in my life…
I honestly enjoy many Vega products on a regular basis now because I like how I feel after consuming them. I believe in the product, whether I purchase it…
or they send me an AMAZING gift basket as a special mention for the comments I received on all the Thrive in 30 series posts I wrote!
I’m about to enjoy some optimizer and go for a 12 mile long run. Have a happy safe labor day weekend!
