After all, it was the Family Recipe Italian dressing so it seemed perfect! This pasta salad was fabulous, filled with protein and fiber and feeds 6-8 people!

Ingredients:
- 2 cups cooked pasta (I used a brown rice & amaranth penne)
- 2 cups cooked chicken, sliced
- 1 cup diced bell pepper
- 1 cup shredded yellow squash
- 1/2 cup sliced carrots
- 1/2 cup scallions, sliced
- 1/2 cup frozen peas (thawed)
- 1/2 cup frozen corn (thawed)
- 1 can (15 ounces) black beans (rinsed, drained)
- 1/2 cup Newman’s Own Family Recipe Italian dressing
Preparation:
1. Cook pasta according to package directions.
2. Shred yellow squash. Drain (squeeze out excess water)
3. Combine first 9 ingredients in a large bowl (pasta through beans).
4. Toss gently with salad dressing
5. Chill or serve warm.
I like the warmth of freshly cooked pasta so I enjoyed this warmed up AND cold for lunch time too.
The Family Recipe Italian dressing was out of this world! I’m not just saying this because I got the sample to review. I loved this dressing and I am so picky! I think this was the best Italian dressing I’ve tasted yet. Not sure yet what to do with the raspberry dressing, not my favorite.
Thanks Foodbuzz AND Newman’s Own! Can’t wait to conjure up more ideas and videos!
